I’m not really sure if it seems like the past month has gone quickly or slowly. A mix of both, I guess. Anyway, today Brody is one month old. He is doing quite well. He eats and sleeps a lot. This morning, Rebecca put him in his crib on his stomach for a little tummy time, and when she went back to check on him a few minutes later, he was on his back. So, whether intentional or not, it appears he rolled over today. Will upload some one month pictures to BrodyElledge.com later today.

Friday night was our 4th annual Halloween party, and it was the best attended one yet. Even more, it seems as though people are getting better at the costumes… there were some really good ones. And a higher percentage of guests wore them. Rebecca and I had a great time, and I hope everyone in attendance did as well. Amazing how much time and effort goes into decorating for the party, but it takes a fraction of time to take it all down. Yesterday, we de-Halloweenized the basement and most of the main floor. Of course, we keep the outdoor stuff up until after Halloween, but the inside decorations are mostly stored until next year. Pictures of the party have been uploaded in my gallery.

The most aggravating news story of the week has to be the balloon boy story. Just read where there will be charges filed against the parents, but sadly, I don’t think the charges will carry the penalty the event deserves. I know he could never pay, but he should be given a bill for the total cost of the wasted money spent by the military to deploy jets and for having DIA shut down. The airlines should sue the family for all of the money they wasted having to credit passengers and whatnot for 2 hours of shutting DIA down. Balloon Dad and Balloon Mom should, after some much deserved jail time, live in a box and we can call them the box family. Kids should be placed with mentally stable parents. I guess I don’t really like Balloon Parents. Feel bad for their kids; Falcon included.

The parents are boarding a cruise ship later today for a week at sea. They seem to cruise every other year or so. Hope they have a great time as they leave San Diego and head down into Mexico. Hope they stay out of the way of the drug cartel and the swine flu… oh, and hurricanes.

Spencer is driving now. Rebecca’s car needs a new rim. Any correlation? I’ll let you fill in the pieces.

Braelyn is now officially my shadow. She likes to help me do everything. Brody has really turned her into a daddy’s girl, and frankly, I like that a lot.

Fun week of work coming up… always love board meeting weeks!

Mark this day on your calendar, folks… I think the Kansas City Chiefs will win their first game of the year, and only their 3rd game in their last 31 games. Yep, I think the Red Skins are that bad. Hoping Denver can pull out a victory in San Diego and get off to a 6-0 start tomorrow night. I’m actually looking forward to watching football this weekend.

That’s all for now.
